Light Water Reflection is an abstract series playing with the chaos and impermanence that rules our subjective reality. Photons slow down when penetrating water, some of that light is reflected back towards the surface, slowing down, creating the Caustic Effect.
Visual Haiku is a series of single or sequenced images, using minimal elements to express a moment, of the passing of time, in nature. This work derives its structure from the Haiku and the centuries-old, Japanese tradition of writing jisei, 'death poem'.
A Mirror originates from my fascination with the high-rise buildings filling the Miami skyline, and printing very high resolution prints, in very large sizes. Using changes in perspective to disarm the viewer of their perceptions of the permanent-seeming, mega-structures.
